Now we have images of the figures included with Border's BT005 Panzer IV H
Three Panzer crew figures plus one Infantry Soldier.

Border admits the earphones are a bit thick, because of plastic injection limits, but they can be easily modified with copper plates.

Whilst the whole idea of the Panzer uniform was to be relatively close-fitting to enable one to function within the confines of a fighting vehicle, they weren't that close fitting! These guys seem to be wearing skin tight jackets and shrink to fit Levis; any study of the real thing will show that these uniforms were not akin to these images, especially the trousers which in true 30s/40s fashion were actually quite voluminous. Sorry, but these don't work for me.

Proportions of the figures are silly. They'd be seven feet tall.

Overall they might be usable to some degree but I really dislike the hands, especially fingers. It's like they were molded in the 70ies...

They look like department store mannequins not people. With the parts breakdown looks like they could be shaved down to more believable proportions but that still leaves the tight uniforms.

I wonder if the images have been stretched, if you squash it down by about 20% they look pretty normal. Although the group of four together do look a bit like Kraftwerk with those quite wooden expressions.

I too came to wonder about the figures' proportions: tankers, normally, are short; these guys could play for an NBA team. The Panzer grenadier is okay but the comment about the MG42's weight is oh-so-true; having handled one in real life I can assure you that while they are impressive MGs the MG42 are large, heavy and a handful to carry in the field. I'd be reluctant to lay one across my lap for an extended period on a bouncy ride like that found on most AFVs.

Okay, how often do we get a Kraftwerk reference on a modeling site? Did you ever think you'd see this day?

I really like Border kits ! But their first figure offering is a BIG disappointment. They look like they're from pre- Trans Europe Express figures. Darned shame!
