Lionroar have announced two useful new accesory sets in 1/35th scale.
Both of the sets are injection-moulded styrene, with additional details, for the Jerrycans included as Photo-Etch. I'm not sure, but either a decal sheet or a mask is included with the Jerrycans to add the marking crosses. The fuel drums have the appropriate embossing on their lids

The two New sets are:

L3513 - German WWII 200 Litre Fuel Drums

L3514 - German WWII 20 Litre Jerrycans

Even the "simple" new kits like this amaze me. It wasn't that long ago jerry cans in kits had only 2 handles and consisted of only 2 halves. Great news. Shaun

Me too - it's incredible the work designers and manufacturers are doing. It's also incredible that the 'old' products of this type are still available...

Reagarding the embossed markings on German Fuel Drums, there's a related post on Missing-Lynx on that subject: http://www.network54.com/Forum/47207/message/1239011850/Some+examples+of+markings+cover

Pssst, we've got all these hand-operated pumps, but no hoses.... Anyone know what would make a good fuel hose? I presume some guage of insulated wire, but which one?
APR 06, 2009 - 03:21 AM
AWG gauge 17 or 18 ought to do it. That would put the diameter of the hose in scale somewhere between 1 and 1.5 inches. Shaun
