LionRoar have been kind enough to send us images of the NEXT release from the company's Plastic Model division: Great Wall Hobby.
The New release definitely falls into the extreme Heavy-Metal category with a model of:

L3523 - WWII German K44 128mm/L55 Anti-tank Gun

This was the towed version of the 128mm. Not deployed in large numbers - mainly due to its late development and the weight of the weapon. It weighed around 8 Tons...

The New model from Great Wall is injection-moulded styrene and should be available by the beginning of June.

Our thanks to LionRoar for the Update!

As mentioned in another thread, I MUST get me one of these!! I've been waiting for one done in plastic for a while and I'm sure very happy to see this one. I hope they follow this one with the Krupp version. Rob

Very interesting. I love the box art! The kit, if their other recent ventures are to be used as measure, should be quite the build. Bring it on!

Looks excellent, what a beast! It will surely be a beautiful and "aggressive" looking model! Thanks for the update

Wow now that is nice. Where is Soeren at. I bet might have one by now. Big puppy indeed.

I've seen comments on other sites regarding this weapon system where some considered this piece more of 'paper Panzer' (aka. never actually used in combat/prototype, etc) as opposed to one that actually saw some action. Looking online for pics of this weapon did not yield much besides a couple of profiles so I was wondering if anyone can shed some light on whether this weapon may have seen combat at some point. Thanks, Rob

I've only seen pictures of the Rheinmetall and Krupp 128s on what looked like a testing ground, factory environment. I think both were in the test phase, don't know about actual combat use. I sure hope GWH also bring out the Krupp 128mm. J

I've been wanting to put one of these behind a FAMO since the Cromwell release a few years ago. The lack of response made me give up. Now it looks like I'll get my chance! Great news!

Thanks for the info, John. Indeed, those were the same pics I've seen as well. I'll build it either way but I was curious as to whether they may have seen any action. And yes, the Krupp version would be spectacular!! Rob
