Ace Models, out of the Ukraine, have announced a limited 1/72 plastic kit German WW1/WW2 Howitzer 10,5cm leFH-16.

This kit promises to be a 'great' Great War addition to that starved early iron market.
Ace has been releasing a varied selection of subjects suggesting that their office has at least a few model enthusiasts. A bit of notorious history of the gun... it was... well... read the piece below.

The German lFH 16 was designed during the war by Rheinmetall as a replacement for the lFH 98/09. It was distinctive from its predecessor as it had a longer barrel, and also a new type of breech, needing one less movement in order to be opened. It fired the same ammo as the old gun, with one addition: the so called C-Geschoss, i.e. gas shell. When the war ended 3.044 lFH16:s were in service.
