NATO in Miniatures decided to share their latest figure set as "work in progess" with KitMaker Network readers.
The set depicts Bundeswehr soldiers in relaxed poses, something that could be very interesting for many 1/35 scale modern German vignettes. The idea behind publishing these WiP photos here is to get the response from all you modelers... tell us what you think about these figures, tell us if anything needs improving... and remember, NATO in Miniatures is listening to your feedback!

Our thanks goes to Dmitri Baev for supplying these pictures and promoting the discussion about NATO in Miniatures future projects!

jesus guys! have you thought that if you get the kit, you can move them to how you want them? Who cares how they are placed! As Dimitri said, it's a WIP! As for my thoughts, they look fantastic! Could definatley do with a couple of sets of these!

We were all working off this premise: Dmitri showed us the source photos and I understand now.. Paul

Well, that was the whole point of showing WIP photos... so we can discuss the figures and let the sculptor know if we found something that needs improving. I did find the comments on more interaction between figures very positive. It was constructive criticism and I'm sure Dmitri appreciates our thoughts. Mario

Hi Dmitri, excellent what made out of the photos. I guess this would make a good dio placing them next to the Y-Modelle DINGO 2 kit. But how about some Bundeswehr figures using their weapons in a firefight? And what about a reproduction of the Heckler & Koch Granatmaschinenwaffe (AGL) used on a tripod in an outpost. If you need more inspiration, drop me an e-mail. Keep on good work! Hans-Hermann

Those look great. Any chance you can also put out "earlier" Bundeswehr Soldiers (1980s era with G3 etc.) too? Post Cold-War isn't as much my thing.

I think making these non-descript would be a good idea, that way you can paint them how you want. Unless they are using equipment or clothing army specific. some soldiers in action would be good too!

I thought it was a great set when I first saw it; then while scrolling down to the photos that inspired it I changed my mind to an EXCELLENT set! I'm a big fan of post WW II figures, especially those in non-combat poses. I'll buy one or two.
