Review

One of the latest releases from Model Cellar is a World War 1 French tanker. This is a resin cast figure in a standing pose with a cane. The casting is done very well, with some great details showing. The set contains two head options, and the facial expression and details is very well done, including the great looking French mustache on the one head.

The figure looks to be wearing the French tanker leather jacket, with double row of buttons and a single pocket. The uniform looks to be very well done on the figure, and the pose of the figure with his hand in his pocket is very well represented. The crease and folds in the uniform look realistic, and add to the presentation of the figure.

One small flaw I found is a casting bubble in the top of each arm, but this can be easily rectified with a little putty.

Assembling the figure went great, there are no excessive gaps are the shoulder joints, and the casting includes creases around the dagger and holster mountings.

Conclusion

This looks to be a great looking figure from Model Cellar of a World War 1 French tanker. The casting shows great detail, with only two small casting bubbles. This figure would look great painted up and displayed with any of the World War French tanks now available. I highly recommend this new figure.
