Modelcollect and Cromwell models have issued kits in Braille scale. These sets will not work with the Cromwell kit as whole of the hull and the running gear have been moulded as one piece, as usual with Cromwell. The Modelcollect offering is a plastic kit with PE and turned barrel. The tracks are plastic link-and-length tracks with OK detail, and plasitc road wheels, with somewhat soft definition. (There are some excellent reviews on Youtube on the model.)

The hub caps are separate in the plastic kit, the resin ones are moulded as one piece with the road wheels. The resin wheels have rivets that look sharper and have better definition than the plastic ones. There is some minimal flash, but it should be easy to simply scrape it away with a scalpel.

Unfortunately I have not been able to find much information on the original parts. The tank seem to use a very similar set of double pin tracks to the T-80s; I cannot really comment on the accuracy, however. Comparing the two the resin parts do look better.

Is the better detail worth the price of the resin sets for the Model collect vehicle? It boils down to the model builder… while they do have better and sharper detail, the cost is pretty high compared to the base kit.
Highs: great definition, easy to use.
Lows: no low comes to mind.
Verdict: recommended for those who need extra detail to justify the expense.
