Introduction:

Invented in the mid-1800s, radiators are one of the oldest and most effective ways of heating a home. They’re still used in buildings all over the world today because of their simplicity and their ability to heat a space evenly and comfortably.

Review:

All in Resine is a small aftermarket company from Spain, offering high-quality 3D printed accessories in various scales. The company catalogue contains number of very useful items for dioramas and this review covers one of their radiator sets in 1/35 scale: Heating Radiator (AC5017).

The set is packed in a simple zip-lock bag with a CAD box art image showing the heating radiator type, designating the contents as 4 elements for assembling 1 complete radiator unit. The set consists of four 3D printed pieces: two mid section elements and two end section elements with legs. The additional mid section elements (available separately as AC5018) allow modeler to assemble a longer radiator as well. The 3D printed pieces are nicely delivered in scale and, as far as I can tell, require no additional cleanup. Assembly is very much straightforward and I didn’t have to use any glue in the process.

The set represents cast-iron free standing radiator unit. The set doesn’t include any valves or pipes, so making a functional radiator might require some scratchbuilding.

Conclusion:

Heating Radiator (AC5017) from All in Resine is a very useful accessory item for various 1/35 scale dioramas.

You wonder how did this addiction start? I was a kid when my dad broght home a 1/72 Concord airplane; we built it together as well as couple of other airplanes after that. This phase was just pure fun: glue, paint, decals in no particular order... everything was finished in a day or two. Then I disc...
