Introduction:

MacOne Models is an aftermarket company from Spain producing an array of various high-quality diorama accessories in 1/35 scale. The company recently offered a new 1/35 scale scenery item, a gas station designed to accommodate AMMO by Mig or MENG gas pumps: Gas Station (MAC35172).

Review:

The kit is packed in a large cardboard box with the box art showing the contents of the set. Opening the box reveals resin parts secured in bubble wrap and additionally protected using packing peanuts. Zip-lock bag holds several smaller resin pieces, minimizing the possibility of transport damage.

The kit contains 9 resin pieces. The cast is perfect and all the details are wonderfully delivered in resin. The pieces are provided without large casting blocks, thus minimizing the cleanup process. The assembly is very much straightforward… the main gas station parts fit well and the only thing to pay attention to is the correct orientation of the roof piece. The kit also includes 2 traffic cones and a small waste basket, a useful addition for making the gas station even more realistic. The finished piece measures 18 x 4 cm, and it is 15 cm high.

As the introduction states, this set can be used with Modern gas pumps from AMMO by Mig (item #AMIG8501) or Middle Eastern Refueling Equipment from MENG (item #SPS041) to get a fully equipped gas station. The complete gas station offers a ton of various diorama possibilities, both civilian and military.
SUMMARY

About Mario Matijasic (Maki)
FROM: CROATIA HRVATSKA

You wonder how did this addiction start? I was a kid when my dad broght home a 1/72 Concord airplane; we built it together as well as couple of other airplanes after that. This phase was just pure fun: glue, paint, decals in no particular order... everything was finished in a day or two. Then I disc...
