Introduction

German Farmer's Market Wagen is a 1/87 / HO multi-media kit from Artitec. It is item 10.272.

This kit is the basis for two other wagons, one with a tarp, and one with an enclosed box.

The Kit

The model consists of 19 parts:

Resin X 6
Photo-Etched X 10
Metal Yoke X 1
Metal Axle X 1
Cast Metal X 1

Casting of the buff resin is crisp. There is some flash but it is wispy thin. I found no air pocks, seam lines, or incomplete casting. The wheels are to-scale thin.

Etching of the brass parts is sharp. It appears that several parts are not used with this particular wagon. Casting of the metal horse is good.

These parts are very good.

Detail

Detail is good. Casting features plank detail in the bed of the wagon box. The spokes of the wheels are very thin, and axle hub detail is present.

Suspension consists of springs, bolsters, axles. The seat bench has handles etched on.

The driver features jacket and hat detail. The horse features tack and harness detail.

Instructions

Instructions in three languages are displayed on a single sheet. It includes painting instructions using Humbrol or Revell paints.

Conclusion

German Farmer's Market Wagen is a neat little kit from Artitec. It features crisp castings and sharply etched metal parts. Detail is good.

I do not have any meaningful complaints. I think that HO railroaders and 1/87 modelers who need a farm wagon will be happy with this model. Recommended.
