This set is intended to replace the wheels of RFM's German Staff Car Type 82E.

It comes with four resin wheels in two blocks -no replacement for the spare wheel, but this was carried under the hood so in most cases it will not be a big deal.

They correctly show the differences for rear and front wheels, both on the inside of the wheel, where is attached to the axis, and on the outside, with different hubs.

The wheels are perfectly round, that is, they are not sagged -which is normal for these light vehicles, unless you pretend to build it heavily overloaded.
The cast is excellent, with no imperfections or bubbles, and without the seam in the middle so commonly found on plastic and vinyl models

It has a thick joint to the casting block and you will need a saw to remove it. As there is no detail on this area, it must be placed touching the ground. Macone has wisely designed the wheels so the lettering on both wheels is not aligned, avoiding the ugly effect of showing the wheels on the same position despite you are forced to put the same part to the bottom.

The tires are of Continental brand, which can be read on them. They have also other markings.

I have not been able to see live RFM's wheels, but considering they are vinyl, I am sure this replacement will come handy.

My main interest is German vehicles and guns, and I like spending time researching the vehicle and the options for the camo once I have chosen a subject. Sometimes I go for specific and rare vehicles, of which only two or three photos are known so it takes me a lot of time to figure how everything w...
