This is one of the first scenery kits released in the range. These kits definitely help the modeler to make a nicer presentation to his figure with less effort than trying to scratch it. Pegaso sceneries are highly detailed resin kits in 54mm scale (so far). This Wood Gate House (XVII – XX Century) is sculpted by talented Russian sculptor Victor Konnov.
The kit comes in the classic size and shape Pegaso figures hard carton box, but in a brown – yellow color scheme, so it’s evident that belongs to another product range. The box art shows a painted kit that serves as a painting guide. The box is filled with paper strips as protection to the 4 resin pieces, which are inside a zip lock plastic bag.
These scenery kits are relatively simple in construction, and this one is no exception. The kit consists of only 4 pieces: a stone “dirt” ground part; a piece of a wooden gate; a stone pole; and the main part of the wall with the column that the gate hangs from.
The kit is sculpted really nicely, with good detail on the textures and realistic recreation of the scene. The casting (done from the Greek company YS Castings - Masterpieces) is absolutely flawless with no air holes or anything else that has to be corrected.
The kit is pretty easy to assemble. It comes together even easier, with some glue between the 4 pieces and the result is a nice setting for your figure.
The Wood Gate House creates a classically scenic image. A useful kit for many different figures, that doesn’t need any addition other than a careful painting.
Suggested for all modelers. Take care in painting and you will be “Pegaso Satisfied”!
