Winter Tarp & Muzzle Cover

by: Dirk Lehaen [ BEP ]

If you like open AFV's but you don't like to detail and paint them, the tarp is mostly your main solution. These tarps were in the past often used to protect the interior, ammunition and crew against the elements during transportation on the road or by rail.

The Kit
The update kit is intented for Tamiya's kit n° 35255 - Marder III M and contains 6 resin pieces, all neatly packaged in the so characteristic MIG-box.The tarp is made out of 5 pieces and you have the choice to built it fully closed or you can built it with the rear flaps open so that the interior can be seen. The sixth piece of resin is the muzzle cover. It looks like a jute bag sealed with a rope.Furthermore a illustrated booklet with 12 steps on how-to paint and weather the lot.

Remarks
n order to use the muzzle cover, the original one from the kit must be cut of. Saves a lot of sanding. To use the tarp, you have to leave the parts G23,G50 and G65 off.No major adjustments.

Conclusion.
Another fine update set which will appeal to many builders. On the one hand you achieve a completely different look. On the other hand there's this trend to built more and more winterwashes and in this concept the wintertarp fits perfectly.Highly recommended.
