Aber set G22 consists of six grills for the super heavy tank E100. As with all Aber AM products, each product comes in a zip lock clear plastic bag inside of which is a cardboard stiffener and a black card for presentation purposes (the black card does make it very easy to inspect the PE fret) and of course the PE fret and lastly in the back of the packet are the instructions for the product.
The single fret measures 58mm X 34mm which is made of steel and is much thinner than all the other Aber PE products I have used. The fret consists of the four oblong and two round grill covers for the rear deck. As a result, the set is very simple and straightforward to use, just install the grills over the suitable areas on the kit-supplied engine deck and the upgrade is complete. The set is designed for use on the DML E-100.
This set is by far the easiest PE improvement you can make to any model you are building and has the benifit of instant gratification. This set also has the added advantage of no bolt detail to add and the detail is very good and looks to scale with a very well rendered mesh.
Highs: Instant improvement to your model with the minimum of fuss.Lows: Only possible low I can think of is that, being steel, cleaning up the connection points may be a little harder.Verdict: An ideal AM product that if you use nothing else in your build make sure to invest in a set of PE grills if not included in your kit. I would give the set a 100% but you have to put them on yourself.
