Korea 1953 kit includes a resin base and two resin figures engaged in hand-to-hand combat in Korean War. One of the figures is a Chinese soldier and the other is a US soldier, but because many allies in Korean war had US uniforms and equipment this kit can be used as a vignette for many different US allies.
I bought my kit from Squadron to make a Turkish and Chinese soldier fighting in Kunuri during the Korean War.
The box has the colored illustration of the built kit that can be used as a painting guide. The parts in the box comes in a plastic bag. The largest part is the resin base which has a good molded texture. The Chinese soldier, his machine gun, his ammo pouch and US helmet are molded on the base.
The other 16 parts come in a smaller bag. They include the head and hand of the Chinese soldier along with the torso, legs, arms, head and equipment of US soldier. Details also include a Thompson machine gun, knife, ammo pouch, water bottle, four hand grenades.
All parts are clean, easy to cut from sprue and fit nicely. The face details and facial expression of both figures are good.
In conclusion, I can say this is a good kit to build a two figure Korean war vignette with a $10 dollars price tag.
A good kit to build a two figure Korean war vignette.
