Humber Super Snipe 4 Door Saloon
Military Vehicle Day, Imperial War Museum, Duxford 6th June 2010
The Humber Snipe pretty much had the field to itself as far as Staff cars were concerned. Three versions were produced all based on the pre-war 4 litre Super Snipe Chassis. These included the Saloon, Tourer and Heavy Utility. All the Snipe varients had extra wide mudguards to cope with the large heavy duty tyres. (Source British Military Vehicles By David E Jane). My grateful thanks to the owner for access to the vehcile.
