I fondly remember building these boys way back in 1979. I loved them to death - an absolutely awesome kit.

Well they may be basic and have one or two inaccuracies (so do much more costly figs) but in terms of what multipose figs like this can do to encourage kidz to get interested in our hobby - well they're priceless. These figs (and the DAK and 8th Army sets) got me interested in the hobby thirty years ago, I hope they do the same for today's young 'uns.

I certainly agree that 1:35 would be a good scale to release these in, even though I know 1:32 is not much different. It seems that some companies are fixed on 1:32 for some reason. I am also thinking about getting these figures so I'll see what's up.

I think it’s a bit unfair to criticise Airfix for realising figures in 1:32. You’ve got to remember that these figures are nearly 30 years old and were produced at a time when Airfix produced a huge range of injection moulded soft plastic figures for the toy market in 1:32. and an extensive range of 54mm classic figures. At this time 1:35 scale was no where near as popular as it is now with only Tamiya and later Italeri producing vehicle kits in this range.

As someone who prefers 54mm/1:32 I can only dream of the range and amount of figures available in 1:35.

It may be worth remembering that Bill Horan used Airfix multipose 1/32 figs as the basic core for most of his early fig sculpting - they're cheap and anatomically correct. If they're good enough for Bill...

I remember these! They offer options for 1/32 aircraft dioramas.

They're all 6' tall Japanese! I know there's an occasional tall Japanese...but a whole army of them? Too many steroids!

Not a bad set of figures. I still have a whole set of them plus 3 other sets from airfix. Though too large, and I mean large even for 1/32nd, they work very well by themselves for a vignette. The U.S sets along with the British and Germans can be used together for close combat but these, even if they were Imperial marines, are guite large. So stand alone only works for them unless you do a forced perspective box dio.

I have several sets of multi-pose but I am planning on using for conversions that if can figure out how to do it ?
