Hi James,

Thanks for getting this one up. You know 875 people viewed this thread so far yet not one bothered to make a comment on the product.

Not much encouragement for the small producer, working away in the background, which I think is a shame. Our hobby is so much more diverse becasue of their individual efforts you would think someone might have thought about that.

Anyway, thanks again.

Al

Interesting Alan, If I saw one at a show I might pick it up and build a bigger dio around it.

I must have missed your previous review. It looks like a nice base and can easily be used as you described. What are its dimensions?

I'll second that, and just add that it's well worth checking Scotia Models webpage out - they have a whole bunch of diorama accessories which are very useful.

There are sections of sandbag wall, oil drum walls, sandbagged bunkers and so forth - and as they're 'modular' for want of a better phrase, they can be arranged as the modeller sees fit.

$0.02 and a bump...

Hey Al,
Interesting review.
Do they make an MG crew or figures for this set ?
Cheers

Hi Guys,

Thanks for looking in and the comments.

Darryl, it's a small base 4 x 4 inches.

John, No, SB Scotia make accessories not figures, so in that sense it's a generic base for you to addd your figures to. SB Models do however, retail various branded figures as that part of the business is a model supplier.

Acav, gotta agree lots of useful stuff both for modern and WW2 builders.

Cheers guys, I thought everyone was asleep!

I'm working on SB's Urban Diorama Base at the moment and I must say I was thoroughly impressed when I opened the package- very cleanly cast and full of detail and a perfect size for most 1/35 models. (Fits something about the size on Trumpeter's LMTV very well.)

Alan got the review spot on. You can buy SB models stuff at netmerchants.co.uk for decent prices (£6 for the MG position, £13 for the Urban Diorama one) and I would, like Alan, thoroughly recommend them.

Hi Karl,

Thanks, I'm hoping to pick up another base this coming Sunday at Duxford. The prices are hard to beat
