I'm back at my 62 mod 62. Is there any media for detailing the inside of the hatches available?

KMT-5 mineroller from the OLD Trumpeter T-55 or T-72 kit with them. MiG does a KMT-7 mineroller in resin.

Detailing the inside of the T-62 hatches...probably have to do it yourself from scratch or cobbling pieces from other places. No replacement piece I know of. Will bring it up to SP Designs though...

With the resources posted, here I may not need one. However, I am soon to start my T62 mod 62 build and would like to know of any recommended reading. I am looking at T-62 Main Battle Tank 1965-2005 (New Vanguard). Will this one be helpful or is there better material out there?

It really depends on what you need. If you want a good, brief, history lesson, the New Vanguard book from Osprey is pretty good.

If you want a good reference for model building detail missing in the kit, you want something different.

For detailed references, online is by far your best resource. There may be some Russian language books you can acquire, but off the top of my head, that is all I can think of.

I'm looking at the Concord book by Zaloga. It's a bit pricey, but not too bad and seems to offer an in depth photo primer.

I've looked around the internet for some time but I have not come across a 1/35 scale 100mm U-8TS gun. Is there such an aftermarket item?

I have a trumpeter t62 mod 1972 and the drive sprockets are said to be on sprue "K"hhowever I don't have that sprue but I have located drive sprockets on the two "A" sprues minus the round disk with holes in it that goes in the middle of each sprocket, has trumpeter altered the spruce count and not the instructions or am I missing a sprue?

The old (ancient) Tamiya photo series book on the T62 is a pretty good reference and there was another.. I'll have to look in the library at home tonight.

Referring to welding track to the grab handles.

Quoted Text

Most likely wire is used. It is also possible, but I do not know if this is what they did, that the tracks are welded to the grab handles.

The grab handles I have seen are hollow bent tubing. I dought anyone would weld to it. If one side of the grab handle is broken loose, it is not hard to bend it or twist it up, down or out.
