Hi Dave,

It's really a nice kit.I bought it a couple of months ago on Sprue Bros.special buys and actually didn't expect to much.It goes together very well and was surprised that I had it built in only a few hours. Now that I think I have posting pics figured out I'll put a couple on.
It doesn't show on the box art,but there is a decal on the sides in Arabic.Let me know if you find out what it says.

The Arabic on the side of the tank is just the Arabic word for "Italy" and is pronounced in Arabic.. Italia.

Nice model by the way!

This is one mean looking beast. I'll be following your build. I'm too back-logged, right now; but you may persuade me to put this on my modern armor list.

Hi Tom,
in the Auriga book about the Ariete, they say the Arabic word just means Italy.

Nice Dave but the lifting rings on the commander sight are too big. You'd better put smaller ones.

Dave,

I really enjoyed getting an in-person look at this at the meeting last week - what a brute!

I forget just how big some of the modern armored vehicles are when compared to their WWII brethern, and that C1 is massive!

I'll be looking forward to seeing it when you finally get it finished.

Hi guys,
Sorry to get off the topic, but I'm a little puzzled.
My original photo was the Ariete. Now it's photos I posted on dioramas.Has this ever happened to anyone? The Ariete was the first photo I posted after figuring out how to and I may have deleted it,not knowing it has to stay on Photobucket.I'll put it up again.Sorry if anyone was scratching their head thinking" what the heck is this?"

Nicely done David, congrats indeed

I have just some doubts about the green shade which you've used as base color. It seems to me a little bit lighter than the real one

Anyway, probably after the washing it will darken...or maybe color depends on the pic light

Cheers
