Jim Rae takes a first-look at a recently-released set of figures from Masterbox Ltd. Curiously enough, apart from the nature of the figures themselves, this could also be considered a ''Movie Tie-in''...

Nice info. I especially like the extra heads. Am I corrrect in assuming that the US and British/Commonwealth figures would also be appropriate for New Guinea? They look the part compared to photos. Either way, it's very useful.

As far as I can tell, the Free-French soldier gun looks like a 7.5mm MAS 36

According to some informations I've found here, it was use in limited number by FFL soldiers in North Africa...

I just got in two kits that I ordered through Great Models. Master Box has greatly improved over the years and this kit is no exception. Very detailed, great poses and the Bren Gun is done pretty well also. The heads and clothing are great and after building three of the figures, they go together well. I did the Frenchman with the kepi and added a sling for Mas (which is pretty good for the scale) and straps for his pack and it came out great.
A great kit as a group or they can be used with others kits or even with one or two. Good deal from Master Box.
Go Lulu Belle.

As far as I remember Sahara remake is from 1995 and after seeing this movie I fell in love with M3 Lees.
I bought this set as soon as it was available and think the review is spot on.
