I want to read this. Soviet generals are an interesting lot.
One wonders if any of them, had they commanded a Western army, would have been left in command after one battle. Not to invoke revisionism nor situational ethics, but considering their fate if they failed, I wonder if any of them could afford to have used Western tactics? Certainly with the Soviet plethora of equipment and firepower, they could have been more caring for the lives of their troops. Montgomery certainly was.
