Just one thing missing, the carrier had a sheet steel cover on the underside. These rusted out very quickly on vehicles stored outside in the elements, so are missing on many restored examples.....the one at the Cobbaton Museum in North Devon has the cover.......I can send photos if you want to email me.

Thanks for the additional info. To be honest my knowledge of allied vehicles is so minimal that if parts of this vehicle were purple I would have assumed it was a standard thing. My main interest is in German WW2 but if I come across an interesting vehicle I will photograph it so it is of use to somebody some day.
