I really like this build. Its nice that Minimanfactory is offering this and nice to have the choice from the old and outdated Hobbyfan offering.

One thing I observe is the Abrams its carrying is not the Desert Storm era as I can observed from its tracks but I might be wrong. Did Desert Storm era M1 Abrams have the square type track pads?

I can't even see the track pads, but, I believe Desert Storm era Abrams had the chevron style track pads.

Try to zoom in on the bottom picture, you can see at the rear left where the side skirt was removed. The edge of the track shows a squared rubber pads, in which case its not in keeping with the Chevron track used in Abrams during Desert Storm.

Would the pusher wheel be also deployed considering its carrying a full MBT especially the M1 Abrams? Its says on the operator's manual not to deploy the pusher wheel on off road operation and on on road operation if the trailer is empty.

I can also see from the manual that is is not designed to carry the Abrams as this tank is heavier than what the M911 is designed to handle but then again we can see that it carried the M1 during Desert Storm.

Well they used a Dragon kit, which to my knowledge none have the chevron track.

In all fairness, I believe this build using the Abrams, is just to show off the HET.

I guess you have a point, I'm just curious thats all. Great kit, what I'm worried is that the moment I get this kit I'm sure a plastic kit will pop up.

You're probably right about it being in plastic soon. I wouldn't doubt it.

I think I'm going to go with an M60 for mine when I build it.

The M60 is a perfect choice for M747 load.

Looks really good. The M911 and trailer look great. One issue on the Abrams though. The square flange with holes in it that you put onto the left side vent should be in the center on the exhaust outlet. It is the mounting flange to attach the snorkel as part of the Deep Water Fording Kit (DWFK) to.

It was not present on Desert Storm era Abrams though. It shouldn't be there at all. It was added on later model M1A1 HC (Heavy Commom) tanks built after Desert Storm.

Gino, what's the story with that camo pattern on that Abrams?

No issue with the camo. It is standard 3-color NATO camo with lots of dust and a badly faded/miscolored picture.

Ah ok! That makes sense. I thought I once seen a picture of a Bradley during Desert Storm that had a 2-3 tone desert camo. I thought this was the same thing at first glance.

Really nice looking model, I love the weathering you did. Truck looks very aggressive. I think the pusher wheel needs to be deployed if your load is a heavy MBT, very nice!

Wow what a nice model great detail and great job building and weathering it ! Also price very very reasonable for a big resin kit like this.considering plastic kits of this size are around the 200.00 range .
