Looks like an ambitious start with all these CADs... My question is, has anyone bought anything from them? Their FB is still on, but their store site doesn't work anymore.. I asked the guy on FB, and he said I can buy from him via messages... So, has anyone tried dealing with him before?

I think they are still at the CAD design stage.. I hope he does execute them.. I believe he does 3D printing, then makes resin copies... I have seen a couple of his products in a diorama displayed in a show or something like that.. but I've yet to talk to someone who actually dealt with the guy.. He does have some interesting stuff.

I have tried ordering from him before back when his store was working. Placed the order then waited for paypal invoice - didn't come so chased up by email, and there was a few exchanges where think the gist of it (some language barrier problems) was that he wouldn't invoice until the items were ready to be dispatched. After me chasing about 3 times and him replying over course of about 6 weeks but no invoice arriving I gave up.

Was trying to order the stuff that's been on his shop a while (SUV wheels, seatbelt anchors etc) so wasn't new releases that might not be done.

Anyway, will try again eventually as think he dealt in good faith but for some reason didn't follow through - but showed he's honest by not taking money. And he has some great stuff.

I finally found the FB page where I saw these... just scroll down a few pages and you'll see them.

I want to try and order from him at least once to see how it goes, but without the store site, he doesn't have his items listed with prices and stuff, so that makes it a little difficult to know what to ask for and all that... We'll see

Great stuff; I've just been over at the FB page, and what a range of conversions on offer! BMP and 4x4, or 2x4 pick loads including turrets.

The only scale I've seen for the figures above has been 1/35, for those interested.

thanks for the post, Hisham.

I wonder how well he would do with WWII GIs and Marines? Of course, WWII Germans, Soviet Troops, British/Commonwealth and ANZACs, as well as Japanese, Italians, French and Troops of the other Combatants, as well..?

Today, they posted this link to a shop in Russia that is supposed to sell DVC products, including these figures at $10 each!! I'll try to contact them and see what payment methods they take and what shipping is and all that.

Thanks Hisham, my dialect is zero when it comes to the Russian language but I can't see any English "button to click" for translation or even currency conversions on their site. Any info you can gather I will personally be greatful as I want those PMC figures....
Thanks again mate, Jason

What browser do you use? I use Chrome, and I just right click with my mouse and then choose "Translate to English" from the menu that opens up... not sure if Internet Explorer does the same thing.. but I'm sure it must have some translation utility somewhere.

You know how we all hate recasts of figures coming from China, Russia etc (and other locations too)

Do you think there is a digital equivalent?

I think we've found it here.......

The "pmc" is a "copy" of a figure from a "bundle" from this company;
http://www.3dscanstore.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=771

Looking at the UK based company' s terms and conditions:
"
It is NOT in any cases permitted to:"
"- Resell any 3d scan as a 3d printed figure or anatomy model either printed or cast." under any of the end user agreements for buying these packs....

Additionally, I tracked down the civilian figures to a scan company out in LA.....

So this guy has done no work himself and appears to be selling very cheaply casts from someone else...

In other words, as great as these figures look, and feel free to prove me wrong, these figures are "digital recasts"

I posted the link to this 3D store on their FB page and asked if they got their designs from them.. I'll see what they say.

I guess they don't have the right to sell them as cast figures even if they buy the commercial license... Oh well, it was nice while it lasted

Well, unfortunately, I'm pretty vocal on FB when it comes to my political opinions.. especially regarding some regional countries.. and I was being harassed by some people who didn't like my opinions, so I started a page with a different name I need to learn my lesson and stop talking about politics
