Andras Donaszi takes a look at the Su-122 offering from MiniArt in 1/35th scale that is minus the full interior detail.

SU-122, not "Su-85"

Darn. I'm doing both kits at the same time... thanks for the correction.

Looks very promising- I will probably opt out for the cheaper version of this kit, that is, the one without the interior, as I had already planned to build mine "buttoned up", in "Museum"-style...

Yes, unless you want to go full out on the model, it is probably the wisest option.

Thanks, Andras! I'm sure that there will be a lot of modellers that will want their SU-122s AND SU-85s with full Interiors. Not a big priority of mine, personally.

You can repeat those statements as many like, it isn't going to make it anyway true.

Well, maybe some newcomers (and re-comers) to the hobby want to get their chops up to speed before tackling full interiors...;-)

May I ask if anyone knows why Ulises is making these one-sentence statements that usually have no relation to the topic at hand? He is a very prolific commenter, but there is very little I understand about him.

Time to just delete his account and be done with this?

He can just make another one, and I don't think the aim is to edge him out... It's just a puzzle that's constantly nagging my mind

True, but Miniart added a lot of parts and replaced all of the others so the only remaining thing in common with the Tamiya kit is the designation "SU-122"
