Here we present a feature with a difference, Chris Chapman has sent us some images of a diorama build by his 11 year old son. The diorama features a 1/72nd scale Mk1 tank from Airfix making its way across no man’s land.

Absolutely fantastic!! The tank looks great, the ground is superb & I’m sure I can hear the engine grinding. 10/10 – seriously, 11 years old?? Brilliant.

That award is certainly well deserved! When you consider the small scale of the tank and the small fingers building/painting it, the result is exceptional. Great job, Conrad!!

Great job! I remember seeing this dio in person at Armorcon. What I remember the most was the well-executed rough, churned-up, uneven terrain of the battlefield. Well done, young sir!

Nice stuff, I really like the Mk I's for their naval-gun barrels. Must have been exciting keeping them unplugged with mud after going through a trench or shell hole!
