Good morning fellow shipbuilders,
The end is in sight of my Bluejacket USS Eversole John C. Butler class destroyer escort (I've done a poor job of updating the build log), and I'm looking ahead at a next build. I'd love to build Bluejacket's USS Olympia, but I realize it's a rare kit due to how few were produced.
I know it's a long shot, but does anyone have one/know of one that might be sold? I've been checking eBay for months now and nothing.
Anyways, figured this would be worth a shot.
Happy modelling,
Andrew

Have you asked Blue Jacket? They have a buy-back program so they
occasionally get them in, and I seem to remember one in the newsletter a few months ago. At the very least they can give you a call if one comes up.

We don't have one in the building at the moment, but call 1-800-448-5567 and ask for Nic. He may have someone who has contacted us about selling one. I hope to have OREGON out in a couple years. Same scale and concept as OLYMPIA kit.

Andrew,
If you can't find a BlueJacket Olympia, I can recommend the old Revell version as an alternative. It is smaller scale and needs some work, but it can build into a nice model too.

Tim,
I remember watching that build closely a few years ago. It's a gorgeous model (which I'm sure you hear a lot!).
At any rate, Al and Scott, thanks for the inputs. I'll just have to keep my eyes peeled, and also await that Oregon kit from Bluejacket.
Cheers

I have an Olympia I might be ready to part with.

I'm going to speak with Nic @ Bluejacket to see what he thinks it is worth.
Also have the Maine and several others.
