I'm off to a flying start.

Basic chassis is complete. Some small gaps to fill and a little more cleaning up still to be done.

All the running gear is ready for primer.

Exhaust system. Needs cleaning up still.

The business end of the tank destroyer is complete. Just need to add the shield and a few more detail parts.

Mark,

That gun assembly really looks complicated. You have done a really nice job with the assembly.

Primed the Hull and Tools are done....

Tracks are being glued. Will decide how to assemble the tracks on to model. It is going to be difficult with Wheels....

Thanks Mark. The gun took longer than I expected.

Thanks Mark.

I am also from India. Happy to meet up here @ Armorama. Had a tough time getting models/ supplies in India. How are you managing?

BTW, Your Hornisse is shaping up well. Will there be any figures added?

Your correct that it's almost impossible to get anything in country. I'm lucky that I have 2 trips a year to Singapore and 3 back to the States. So, I always stock up on supplies and kits and bring it back in my luggage.

I'm not a figure person, so I won't be adding any.

Following are the latest update on my Stug III

Build Complete
Tools Painted, Decal and Sealed.
Will start weathering today

Comments Welcome on the following:
The headlight is supposed to be closed. I thinned the plastic made it open.
Fixing of Jack (with handle end pointed inwards)
Cleaning rod position inverted, Cleaning head pointed towards rear.

This was supposed to be an OOB build to get back to modeling after nearly 5 years. so comments welcome on areas of improvement. Sorry for the grainy photos. ISO 1600 because of lighting....

Used Tamiya Acrylics, Pledge and final misting clear coat using Mr. Color Flat (with leveling Thinner). So far no issues. If I want to try white wash, Can I spray Hair spray now and then Tamiya white? Is this sequence correct? Guidance please....

Yes, you have the right sequence. Just be aware different brands and amount applied can effect your results. I practiced on some extra plastic squares I had that I clear coated. Then tested different dry times with the hair spray before applying the paint.

your earlier pics came out fine also, just to touch on that.

look foward to your final outcome.

Great work going here guys.

The odd one out, your only ship under way.

This is the sup assemblies prior to having paint shot at it.

The hull, prop shafts and rudders have been attached. The upper and lower halves are a very good fit.

Light sand along the join and that is ready for paint.

The lower level of the bridge structure.

As the doors had etched detail on the inside, I thought it would be rude not to leave at least one open.

The upper levels of the bridge.

A few bits of etch to go on those yet.

The whole bridge structure test fitted together.

And test fitted on to the hull, along with the basic assembly of the fore funnel.

More soon.

Cheers

Si

I was able to spray the base color last night. Need to do a little touch-up on the road wheels and return rollers.
