That IS-2 is looking good! Are those indy-link tracks part of the kit, or an AM set?

Thanks. The kit comes with both rubber band and indy/link and length options.

At this point I was ready to give up, and I actually unenlisted from the campaign:

Looks quite horrible.

Put I guess I could hide the failure, and I can live with this:

So will finish, unless tracks (Friulis) somehow fail, which I don't think will happen.

Well, it definitely isn't from their Golden Age of kits. That came later. But this was very cheap.

Shell, good luck on that Stug!

Lap Man, that M26 is coming together! I've got one in the stash so I'm keen to see how it looks when finished.

Oh well, back to the RFM indy-link salt mines for me...

Just a note to future myself: do not dry heatgun on Friul tracks

The problem started with incompatible combination of weathering stuff (AKs mud something) and "thinner" (actually pigment fixer). Didn't dry in three days, so gave quick blast with heat gun. Not a good idea... And that happened in split second, no time to react.

Pasi, I know white metal melts at low temperatures, but that's scary! Hope you have enough spare links to sort it out.

Lap Man & Shell - looking good!

I know it is late in the campaign, but I will change my kit from Jagdtiger to Hetzer.

Construction has finished on my Hetzer. True Tamiya quality. Everything works and fits perfectly. The bottom hull is a metal cast to ensure some weight in the model. A nice detail. Next is base coat and painting.

That Hetzer didn't take long to assemble! Looking forward to a nifty camo job...

I've managed to slog through the RFM tracks on my Shermie, so now it's paint and final assembly between now and New Year. How's everyone else fixed for completing?

I'm essentially done except for a couple of touch-ups and a final sealing coat. Wasn't planning on much weathering as I might do a base later and will want it to all match. It's had a wash applied since this pic.

How's everyone else getting on? I'm painting tracks with the aim of squeaking over the finish line on 31 December...

Shell very good job. StuG 4 is wonderful. I like camouflage on the machine. Congratulations
I'm done with this project. Here are the final photos of him.

Good luck with the end of the campaign.

Nice clean build, Karin! Congrats on finishing.

A little more progress on my Hetzer. Going for an overall yellow scheme. I am using this project to test out the AK Interactive chipping fluid. I might have overdone it a bit, but still like the way it looks.

More to follow soon.

Okay, I am calling mine done. She is OOB, and as it is an older tooling which I plan to replace I did this for the fun of it. I may add stowage and crew later on, so I didn't weather much at all to keep my options open.

This brings me to 12 Panzer IV chassis-based vehicles on my built shelf now.

I did some graphite rubbing in areas but it is not showing in the pics.

This might rock the boat some. But her she is. Fresh out of the factory waiting for the crew to finish her off in the field.

Hi Kalin, Jesper, Kelly, & Shell - great work! (Kelly that factory-fresh build is a unique take on weathering! Just needs some shipping paperwork stuck under a convenient stowed tool...)

My own efforts are done, despite the overcomplicated RFM tracks. I was going for a "freshly issued mid-April '45" look, at about the time this version of Sherman stated turning up in numbers. Just in time to get a little road dust, but late enough that it might never fire the main gun in anger as the Germans surrendered on 8 May. I was going to add shoulder patches and stripes to the crew but cannot remember where I placed the decals...

Two more days to go!

Tom, thanks... Great work on your build also.

There is a stencil set that's out there that mimics the look of chalk markings as done in the factory. Just saw it last week but knew I still wouldn't have gotten it in time for this campaign finish.

pasi, I wouldn't be that hard on yourself. There are plenty of examples of camo jobs done out in the field that look as though an spraygun was not used in the field. I just watched a documentary a few days ago showing the U.S. using brooms to apply winter paint during the Bulge.
