Nice Build mate it’s been interesting to watch how you have gone about various areas of the build.

I have completed my one sans the Commaders optics which I’ll do tomorrow.

I appreciate you modelling style and your approach in terms of getting your bucks worth out of it I think people have to come to terms that not everyone is out to do show stopping models keep on doing what you do mate.

Cheers Cuny12

Donald,
Being a youngster next to you, at 71 years young, I understand your comment about stairs. Your work has been a joy to follow and I have a least two of the 1/16 kits you have built waiting for me to start. I think your work has been some of the best presented here on Armorama, and some of the techniques you have introduced in your builds have and will benefit us all.
If you decide this is the last build, Thanks for the "ride". If not , can't wait to see what is next.

I think you will find this very interesting, Trumpeter gives you with these kits Copper cabeling to use for the Tow Cables.
that doesn't work, They are too big in Diamater and are almost imposible to paint.
I found at my local Hardware Store some Cables that are just right, a little paint and they should look good.

Hi John.
The Boss is after me to keep on doing this I don't know?
Well I still have a 1/16th T72 and 2 Panzer IV Ausf F s one Iwas going to make into an ausf.G
I don't know I'll just have to wait and see what happens.
It's good to hear from someone who likes what I do.
I do this not fore recognition or money , but to help those out there that don't have a lot of experience.I have been building for over 60 years.

Sincerely
Donald

I somehow missed the ending of your build thread, Donald. I just caught up with the last several pages now.

Just wanted to say it looks great and I really appreciate the effort to make these build threads.

I hope we see more work from you in the future!

Yes, I did follow that wonderful build as well. I really enjoyed following these builds. Now, when will we get a 1/16th scale PzIII?

Why not use airbrush to paint? You should buy a airbrush and a air compressor.

O I have all that plus a spray booth in the basement, I just prefer to brush the Camo.
I just turned 72 Years old, My arthritis hurts like hell, My spray painting area is down a steep flight of stairs and the Dam model is very heavy for me about 10 to 15 Lb.about 30 of your Kg.
I think this is going to be my last build for this Forem, it's just getting too hard to do.
Sincerely
Donald

I don't think it is your last work, you still have plenty time to live and build models. This hobby just like drug addiction, you can't quit it easily. By the way, Although your skill is not very well but it is still a Nice work, you have done a great job.

....your skill is not very well? I happen to think your work is outstanding! I’m glad someone else is not covering beautiful work with 6 inches of weathering. 😄
Of course, armor wasn’t washed and waxed in combat, but I think sometimes less is more. Great build, and your posts have helped me with my big Panther, so thank you, Donald! M guy

Thanks Guys, you just made my day.
I'm happy to see that there's someone out there that appreciates my work. It gets very depressing not knowing if anyone likes it or even not.
I just usually do a light coat of dust, and not a lot if any luggage as these vehicles usually didn't last that long
I like to keep it simple.
Just finished the 1/16th. M5A1 Stuart, and hard at work on the M19 Tank Transporter.
Regards.
