Spoked roadwheels come with the kit and the vehicle here has a mix of spoked and stamped to my eye. I also have two types of duckbills from Bronco and some duckbills and T62 tracks from MasterClub. Haven’t decided yet which tracks to use for this build.

Okay, I don't need to offer you a set of spoked ones then

I'd go all spoked. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th all look spoked to me, so likely the obscured 4th and 6th are too.

The tracks on the vehicle in the pic are T54E1. The chevrons on the pic tracks go almost to the bottom of the pad, whereas the T62 tracks sit closer to the centre of the pad, the T62 has a more rounded curve where the ones in the pic have a flatter bottom to the curve, plus you can see the indent under the cheron end, where the T62 is flat to the end with a rivet.

Everyone has issues with this the first time around, so no you are not asking a daft question.

The gallery has a limited storage capacity, so I usually leave that for the end of a group build gallery photos. Like many others here, I use imgur to host other pics.

https://imgur.com/

To post a pic here, start a reply and then usepress the last of the seven buttons under the text panel, which is img in brackets. This sets up the start and closing tag for an image. All you need to do then is place the url address for your pic between the tags making sure you have added the image type (.jpg,.gif,.png, etc) to the end

To get the address of your image in Imgur just wait until the 'Image uploaded' message pops up, then put the curser over the image. A button that says 'copy link' will pop up and just click on that. Paste that between the img tags in your post and add the picture type at the end of your image address before the last tag.

If you want to use a gallery pic, click on the pic in your photos album and a url address will show up below the image with a picture icon at the end. Press that icon. This opens up a new pane with the image address. You need the bit from 'https' to the image type i.e.

I hope that helps.

Well I have 3 G's in my small stash, a voyager PE set and I intend to put it on a small dio, the only problem I have at the moment is finding an American figure in a long trench coat as that's integral to it

You could try the GI from this set: Winter Pastime. Might want to arm him with something heavier than a shovel...

Apologies for the poor quality of the photo scan, but if you will look very closely the tracks on the left are indeed T54E1’ but the tracks on the right are T62’, you can see the rivets. Both runs of tracks have duckbills. Looking at the possibility that the turret is a recycled one. Has welded cheek armor and a smoke mortar hole. For those interested in the history, this tank belonged to the 743rd Tank Bn 30th Infantry and the picture was taken in or near Magdeburg in April 45.

Thanks Tom, that's definitely an option for the GI, figures are usually out of my comfort zone so anything with minimal modifications will be great for me

Keener eyes than mine Chris. I completely missed the tracks on the right being different. Really looking forward to seeing it built!

My subject should be inside this box. I opened it, just to get that WOW effect. Have to learn some new techniques, like self-made Zimmerit with some scratch building. I have only two Tigers build, RFM Fehrmanns and they build up real good.

Never did a full interior, so looking forward to that. I have some ideas coming up how to present the build.
Wish it was end of December...

I just got dragons M26 Pershing that had the Boxart that shows a captured sdkfz 251 on it. I kind of want to build the boxart would this be okay for this build?

Have been following your build on the other thread, great detailing and a very good background story with it. Will look spot on when its finished.

Thank you for the compliments. Very much appreciated. If I would have known about this campaign, I could have participated.

You may need to PM the campaign leader for an adjudication.

Can't say I have ever seen a photo of a SdKfz 251 Ausf C in US service - plenty of Ausf D's were used though.

I'm not the judge on this matter, but the campaign tittle is clear: "Build a Photo" It does not mention Box Art.

This is what I'll be building. The box art matches the photo, and the kit has the same markings, so this should be very straight forward.
