Here is a small quiz:

This evening me and my modelling buddies had a meeting in a pub in Sofia.
One of the buddies brought a (bit late) X-mas present for each participant- a bottle of grape rakia(the Whisky of the Balkans ), with personal inscription:

Can you guess which bottle is mine?!?

You better like your bottle, not mine

I have to admit I have a long shelf line of rakia in my locker...
And while I strictly follow the "First-In/First-Out" principle, I'll open my gift when the Campaign starts and will report obediently

I have to come over, at least once in my life to get the taste of Rakia.
In Turkey I learned to drink Raki, that must be almost the same.
That was Summer of 1990, long long time ago.

Kind regards,

I'll be in on this party. I have a bunch of Bronco 1/35 boxes hangin' around waiting for glue and tlc. I would have said "eeny meenie mini..." but someone did that, so...

Guess I'll resort to rolling one of those excessively polyhedral 3-color dice to help me out! An even number will call for tracks, odds for wheeled things, white for WWII Allied, red for WWII Axis, blue for all others...

IF I roll "odd - red", I'll carefully step past the Kfz. 12 and 15 kits... Those, while very interesting looking, can wait. !

I'll get enlisted and post some kit selection / start pic soon!

Need to finish my Dana for the 'Got Wheels Build', a lot more scratch built work to fix it than I anticipated, and then the '20/20 in 2020 Build' I have started and which also needs scratch built work .... Then onto this one, which I hope will be out of the box. Funny that, the only build I plan to do OOB is hosted by a master scratch builder!

I have narrowed the field down to either the British A9 Tank or the Italian CV33. The later has full interior and engine, but will need some cabling etc, if I do the interior (which would be a waste as it would be seen if I left the hatches open.)

Looking forward to seeing what everyone else is doing.

We will even accept any of the Kfz.12/Kfz.15 kits

Hello everyone! I was thinking a lot about what to do and finally settled on the following model. Bronco CB35004 7,5cm Pak40 (Sf) auf Geschutzwagen 39(f).
Here are the initial photos.

Good luck and have fun.

Nice to see your Selbstfahrlafette, Kalin!
Do you plan to put a crew in the open top superstructure?

Why not! But Bronco doesn't seem to make figures. I'll have to use another manufacturer.

I'm in a sort of Anti-aircraft equipment mood lately.

Last year I built an 8.8 cm. Flak 36 and a RRH(Ringtrichter-Richtungshoerer).
I'm currently building a FuMG 39D "Wuerzburg" radar for Peter's 20/20 Campaign and have a 60 cm. Flakscheinwerfer 36(AFV Club) in the queue.

So I think Bronco's Kommandogeraet KG40(#CB35103) is a logical choice-it was used by Bulgarian Army in the 1940's and I have the kit in my stash since 2 years.

This is my starting picture:

I need to decide whether I'll build it in transport, or combat mode,

Rules and Regulations explicitly allow use of other manufacturer's figures to enhance Bronco's model.

A bit of muzovirism from my side , but I'm sure you can do it!

Or you can scratch build to convert some Bronco US/British figures in honour of the campaign leader's penchant ...

Looking forward to seeing it being built Kalin.

Angel... out of left field again....
