I don't know where you can get the set. That said, I'd bet you could make those fasteners a lot faster than if you waited for them using today's mail. You can punch those large washers from .005 styrene which gives you nearly perfect .175 scale thickness. If you don't want to invest in a punch set for one job you can easily and inexpensively make a punch with an old drill bit, a few pieces of plexiglass, and four nuts and bolts. You can replicate the bolt heads using Evergreen hex stock. A plus with this method is no need to bust out the CA.

Good idea, the punch set is a bit out my monthly models budget which i have been exceeding this past half year. I will try to make one for this task using the tools you suggest. Thanks for the tip!!

This guy's method is a bit different from mine, but whatever works. I don't make them all on one tool either, just when I need particular size. I use at least half inch plexiglass for both pieces.

Thank you Rob, this explains the process in great detail. I have decent number of stryker's sitting in stash this will help to sharp the bolts on the trumpeter ones.

Hi Jose77,

the Stryker fastening bolt set from Voyager is available at the “Sockelshop” in Germany. They should ship it to the USA.

Hello Peter, thanks for the tip, yes they do, but shipping is astonishing. However i think i might add some other items so it makes more sense to pay for shipping. I have also contacted the manufacturer to see i have some luck there.
Best,

The MEV Stryker is basically finished!!!!!

As mentioned earlier, I intend to put this Stryker on a diorama, together with another Stryker. For this reason I decided, first to build the second Stryker then the base and afterwards weathering both vehicles - depending on the base. Right now I haven’t yet decided how this base should exactly look like.

The stored gear is not yet fixed, and the rearview mirrors plus the towing cable will be added after the weathering.
I also plan to add two figures in the end.

So you’ll see something finished and at the same time not finished yet:

Looks damn good, Peter!

I added to my Stryker collection a couple of hours ago. Bought the Stryker Dragoon from AFV Club.

Maybe it's time for a Stryker campaign?!

Hi Richard,

‘ love to hear those encouraging compliments – thank you!

Stryker campaign …… damn good idea!

Hi Robert,

thank you!!!

For my Stryker’s I usually use the Revell Aqua Color 36361 Olive green.

I’m sorry, that it is none of the colors (companies) you asked for.
During the last years I saw some vehicles at the Grafenwöhr “German American Volksfest”, so in my opinion this color matches the real one pretty well.

Hope I could help!!!

Did the stowage on top come with it or is it aftermarket?

Hi Richard,

just the ration boxes and the two lager boxes on the rear right side came with the kit.
The spine board is from EUREKA (E-032).
The boxes on the roof and the small box at the right side are from J’s work (PPA 4001).
The two boxes on the left roof side ….. , well I have no idea where they are from.
The stretchers are self made.

I missed it the first time too. Very nice. The gear and stowage looks really good. It will look even better once it is weathered and in the dio. Can't wait to see it finished.
