Cheers Guys,

I do like to bring an old kit up to standard and this one turned out well, not bad for a kit that is almost as old as myself. My parents bought me my first Tamiya kit which was the M113 when I was 10 so it holds a special place for me and the reason for the project. I have a few more M113’s in the stash so expect to see a few more in the future.

A few more detailed photos on the build.

Wow... Amazing work!! Felt like I was back on Rodriguez Range in 1984/1985!!

Great work!! Now you need a M60A3 TTS(K) MBT to go with your M113. :-)

Wow! Amazing work!

The interior looks fantastic, I like all the equipment you put in there... looks really busy.

All the work with tie downs paid off. A small detail but these look far more realistic. Resin tie downs are even more impressive than PE, but I'm not sure if those are available now from Arms Corps Models.

I have Modelkasten tracks for M113 but was a bit reluctant to try them on my model as there were so many pieces in the box... I guess I'll have to reconsider, as your tracks look really good.

Great work on the camouflage decals and the figures. It is probably all about planning and pre-cutting the decals... and a strong decal solution. Altogether an excellent effect that I'll have to try myself.

Again, an amazing work that I think would be worth a feature article here on Armorama. I sent you a PM.

Hi Dan,
I chime in with all the others that you've done wonderful things with the old kit and above all "dressing" the figures - marvelous!
There's just a tiny mistake of Tamiya's that you didn't correct: T. gave two identical tail lights A2, while the one on the right hand side should have two slits instead of an oval above a slit. Especially, there was no red glass on the right - behind all three slits, there were several small lights covered with clear glass that made them appear dark.
Something you can correct easily (if you haven't already).
Happy modeling,
Peter
