Thanks Darren, will look out for this one. Maybe Mandolins are more widespread in eastern Europe (as per Captain Corelli's?). This set also begs a question. Will any manufacturer produce a set of bandsmen? Music is very important to the military and even at the height of the conflict, all German divisions maintained a band for ceremonials (e.g. funerals and medal presentations). The musicians wings would make an interesting and common addition to German uniform. I've also seen photos of company trumpeters in the field, used for relaying orders before the advent of walkie talkie type portable radios.

Sierra Toy Soldier Co. used to produce a German set. I believe it's out of production but there are probably some sets floating around for sale
