Frozen Battleground

Frozen Battleground
Manufacturer: Verlinden Productions
Item Code: 1299
Size/Scale: 54 mm
Material: Resin
About the vignette Charles says, "This is a small vignette done with Verlinden’s “Battle on the Ice” kit. I didn’t like the molded on base so I cut the figure/horse off and created my own base. The ice was done with paraffin and the snow is marble dust. This was my first attempt at a subject other than WWII. I enjoyed building and painting this and hope you will enjoy looking at the photos."

Charles, excellent dio! I have a couple questions, if you don't mind sharing... What did you use for the water? I'm assuming some type of resin. What did you use to tint it with? Also, how did you get the excellent 'slushy water' effect trailing the horse? I have yet to try any water in a vignette and am trying to find out about as many techniques as possible before giving it a shot. Tom

Beautiful piece of work Charles. Ice looks amazing. Personaly I would have liked to see more battle wear/damage on the shields, but still beautiful work. Thanks for sharing.
