Kleiner Panzer Befehlswagen I

  • header82
This was the first kit I had built in 17 years. So much had changed when I had gotten back into modeling I wanted something simple. I began with Dragon's Sd.Kfz.265 kleiner Panzerbefehlswagen, No 6218. It was a nice kit and I built it straight OOB with the exception of the tracks. For these I decided to add the Friulmodel tracks to the kit. The hardest part of the entire build was the tracks. The first set took me roughly 14 hours to put together. The next set only took about 4 hours.

After construction was finished I used Mig Pigments and Tamiya weathering sticks to give it a used look. The tracks were weathered using Blacken-it. The muffler was rusted with Rustall. All in all I was happy with the kit and the look. 17 years is far too long to have been gone from the hobby, but I am so glad to be back.
