The Clubhouse

This diorama is called "The Clubhouse". I built this dio in 2008. The car is an old di-cast piece that I had sitting around. I had a couple resin kids that someone had given me at a show (origin long forgotten) and thought it would be cool to show the derelict car having been converted into a clubhouse. I was very pleased with the outcome. The diorama has won several awards at various shows in California.

Such a lovely scene Charles What is the origin of the kids, was it sculpted by you, or these are available on the market?

I remember that one, great work, one of the first to use the Rascals. These figures are now unforunately "burned" and overused. Thanks for showing again Claude

I have always been a fan of battlefield dioramas, but most AFV dioramas seem to be the same set of ideas just going around and around and its just a level of how well they were detailed that makes them stand out. It is always enjoyable to see a change in scenery with more story. Sometimes more story means less flash but you made them both work very well.

Charles, Outstanding! The facial expression of the standing kid is superb! This scene evokes a flood of memories.

Thank you all for the kind comments. I appreciate them greatly. Istvan (Peelou75), The children figures were indeed purchased but to be honest I can't remember the manufacturer. As stated, the dio was made in '08 so the figures may or may not still be available.

Nice idea...well done. The only things missing are a slingshot and a few dog-eared pages of the undergarments section of a Sears catalog.
