M-107 Proud American

Cesar Mendes also known as ‘Carius’ has shared with us some images of his M-107 built using the 1/35th scale offering from Italeri. Cesar started making models back when he was 9 and his first kit was a Ju-87 Stuka in 1/72nd scale from Revell. The model presented here has some years on it being an Italeri model, but the look of the finished kit shows what can be achieved with this kit. The model has had Eduard photo etch and Spade Ace tracks added to lift the look of the finished model. The Italeri M-107 SPG is an excellent platform for upgrade and scratch. So I decided to do many general improvements, to make it more interesting and attractive.

You did the old model proud! It is a crisp, neat build. I really like the spotty nature of the dust/mud on the upper surfaces.

Magnificent! As Maki said, the header image is superb! Just wondering though, does the shell loading mechanism (platform?) swivel independently, or is it fixed in place?

Many thanks! The loading mechanism is movable.

Hi Cairus, I'm FrancisGL from Britmodeller mate, from time to time I went through this website, I presented a model for the contest of the month, I think it was in August of last year, that it was a MERKAVA MK1 of Tamiya, and although it did not win, it was better situated than I imagined, and today for a long time I did not do it, I found myself by surprise with your great M-107, as I said before in BM, SUPERB !!!!.
