AFV Club T-34/85 with full interior

  • move
This is a 1/35 AFV Club T-34/85 with full interior - kit AF35145. Chuck built it out of the box with the exception of Kaizen tracks and a few pieces from the spares bin. He threw everything but the kitchen sink at it for weathering. Acrylics, oils, enamels, pigments, pastels, etc.

Excellent work.

Excellent indeed!! Another superb paint job. It would be an interesting contrast to see this one sitting on a display table next to Colin Key's cutaway Panther. Beautiful pair!

Looks like a lot of work went in to this. (I have the clear hull version in the box still, and know how full that box is.) A nice looking build with a great finish.

Wonderful job on a great kit! I'm finishing-up on their earlier T-34/76 release with full interior kit with the aim to replicating one my dad saw at the end of the war at the side of the road in Western Poland.

Excellent job with this full interior kit. I like the way you presented it where it can be displayed apart of intact. The weathering was realistically done as well.

What the others have said - great work from the assembly down to the finish and weathering.

Thanks for the compliments, everyone. I really appreciate it. This was one of those times where everything kind of clicked. I'd been bogged down on another project for a while and this build was what I needed to get my mojo back. It was painted largely with Tamiya acrylics thinned 1:1 with straight liquitex flow improver. That really helped the hairspray chipping method work. Especially on the interior. Oil filters helped enrich the colors a bit, and I used a lot of Mig/Ammo products for weathering. Washes, dry pigments, damp pigments, enamel weather products, etc... The grease stains in the engine bay are Engine Grease oil paint by Abteilung 50[?] paints. Thanks for looking and thanks for the compliments!
