I had finished the 1:35 figures for a diorama that I was planning to build. The dio never came into being so I thought I’d build a small base for the two figures. The round base has a 4” radius with the working area being 3.5” across. The ground is cell-u-clay. The debris pile is made from sticks and pieces found in the yard. After affixing all but the figures I dusted the base with white primer from a spray can from a distance of 15-20”, the idea being to have the paint droplets hit right as they dry to get more of a ‘dusting’ of white rather than a coating. The snow on the ground and logs is white marble dust. I believe the figures are Dragon.

I had snapped some photos of the piece with a blank background but I have also included photos I took with background photos taken off the internet for a little atmosphere. All in all this was a fun little project. Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoy…

Already an outstanding piece of work, and then by adding the backdrop, it became even better!🍺 —mike

Nicely done, and the photos with the background are great.

I completely agree with everything said though with one reality-check: hard to imagine a sniper team choosing such an obvious hide. My uncle served during WW2 and survived to tell by NOT taking the obvious or identifiable positions as they catch the eye and lead to lethal retaliatory fire. He often selected as many as three or more hides before picking the one to use and then exfiltrated a completely different way. Standing outlined on a ridge by a landmark would have proven a one-time mistake. Nice work on the figures and background photo, though.

What they said, a real gem & I don’t see a situational problem with it. This pair’s nowhere near ready to pick their spot for the very reason they’re outlined against the ridge line, they’re checking out better sites some distance ahead

I like the binocular figure's hands, very natural looking. What set is he from ?
