Stalingrad has some new releases which should appeal to members who like to model World War Two in the East with three Red Army Officers, some civilians, and a farmer’s cart.
These new release from Stalingrad look excellent with the three Red Army Officers being a nice addition to their Eastern Front military figure range, the uniform, facial, and crease detail is very good judging by the supplied images and should look good in most settings. The part of this release that really caught my eye is the civilian figures that have been released. The Russian refugee woman looks excellent in all aspects and depicts the features of a person who is resigned to her fate while looking in deep thought. The three Russian refugee children are excellent with the eldest child comforting the youngest child whose eyes are downcast with what looks to be a furtive glance to the right to see what is coming while cuddling her dolly. The boy included in this set is shown on the box artwork looking to his elder sibling as if looking for some kind of moral support such as “it will be alright”. These civilian figures are going to be great for diorama fans as they will fit into most dioramas regardless of where you place them within a European setting with the possible exception of the boy due to his boots. The Russian refugee figures are also available as a single purchase along with a Ukrainian farmer’s cart that is again available on its own.

3010 – Ukrainian Farmers Cart
3011 – Russian Refugees with Cart
3544 – Russian Refugee Children
3545 – Russian Refugee Woman
3573 – Red Army Officer
3574 – Red Army Officer
3575 - Red Army Officer

Hey Darren, thanks for the info. The refuges and cart are going to find their way into the stash. They are really nicely sculpted and feel just perfect for what they represent. Nice tack on the draft horse and the yoke is one of the better ones I have seen. Would fit very well from Germany to the east end of Russia. Very well interactive figures and not much you could add to tweak it up. Looking forward to getting this set.

This is an old thread but I have a question: In images No. 2 and No. 4, what is the vertical rod extending from the rear axle to the wagon body? Great looking figures BTW! Thanks in advance, —mike
