Bob, IIRC the car was a one-off AC built on a chevrolet truck chassis, during or as a preparation for the Warsaw Uprising. It was camo painted, you can google "kubuś samochód pancerny" for some period photos. Cheers, Greg

So you see Virginia, all of that 'Stealth' technology you hear about really isn't anything new. The "KUBUS" could have flown over Iraq and nobody would have even noticed! I can't wait to see what model builders do with this kit.

Looks good, I have built many oddities from the Eastern kit makers, bit more work maybe but at least you end up with unusual subjects rather than another Stug, comment about "do any of the parts fit" perhaps these modellers should stick to Tamiya kits that suit their skill levels

I like the hood ornament in the first pic! "Hide it under civilians - the enemy will never spot the A/C..." I did a small-scale version for wargaming, as a 3D printable at Shapeways.com a while back. Never thought I'd see it in 1:35 plastic though.

A stealth-tech AC flitting un-detected across the dark skys of Iraq! That's a vision to behold indeed! As if pigs could fly! So, OK, it appears Kubus was some Polish one-off created "just" for the HomeFront and the Warsaw uprising... I'll buy that. Mirage has done some rather rare and odd things before, so this could be another reasonable target for them. I am pretty curious as to what those original prototype-builders were thinking when they carefully mounted (or maybe re-mounted after adding the armor onto that truck) an old-style German Notek convoy headlamp on it... It cannot be that they figured this thing was going to be moving along in some kms-long file of darkened vehicles going to or from some front and trying to avoid enemy air! In any other sense, that would be a terrible headlamp if what you wanted was to see your way in the dark of the big, big city! Bob
