An update from Mirage Hobby has the awaited for Kubus now available plus an extra surprise.
Mirage Hobby has announced that the Kubus armoured car is now available. This armoured car was used during the Warsaw uprising in 1944. Also announced is that the Samochod Pancerny armoured car is also now available.

Well, I sure would like to belive the WZ 34-II is a new tool, and not the old kit that's been repopped so many times. Sadly, I don't Kubuś on the other hand looks very interesting, other than those vinyl tyres that lack any significant detail. Cheers, Greg

That's what the Kubus was....just angled steel plates put together on a truck frame to make an improvised armored car. I think it's an interesting looking vehicle. The Polish home Army did this during the Warsaw Uprising of 1944. They used this along with captured German vehicles and tanks...including a Panther, Hetzer and an Sd. Kfz. 251. I just ordered my Kubus from Jadar Hobby of Poland and it cost $17.51 (including shipping to the US) It's probably cheaper for US residents since we don't pay the VAT. I can't wait to get my hands on this...I can already feel a Warsaw uprising dio happening...in my head anyway....I rarely follow through on diorama ideas.
