MiniArt has released the news that their offering of the T-54 B is on the roll. This may be a new step by MiniArt as it has 1030 plastic parts and 138 photo etched parts.
This T-54B is an interesting move by MiniArt as this release will be going head to head with Takom. So what will this model offer to drag as to their camp? Well we are being offered an interior covering the driver compartment, fighting compartment, turret interior and a detailed V-54 engine. In addition to this we are being promised a full ammunition load, two types of wheels, workable torsion bar suspension and hatches that can be open or closed. MiniArt is also mentioning two operating modes will be offered covering day and night modes. Finally we are being offered 3 decal finishing options.

Really nice kit. Problem is you are not going to see 95% of the interior.

If the molding, fit, and accuracy are on the money, this will be a great kit.

I had exactly the same thought. Build one with all hatches closed and another with the top of the chassis lifted up on plexiglass rods (or at least removable like the old Tamiya 1:25 Centurion). / Robin

The video jumps past the assembly of the tracks, from assembly of turret parts directly to completed model with finished tracks. / Robin

bump - any idea on release date?

Given their release schedule with other kits, I'd expect it no later than the end of this year...maybe this Fall.

I'm sure it'll come out much sooner if you build the old Trumpy kit with a load of AM
