Miniart is to release a new SU-122 (initial production) with a complete interior. A beautiful kit which is full of details.
The Soviet self propelled gun SU-122, based on the T-34 chassis, was a very successful vehicle during the Second World War. Thanks to its 122mm gun, the HE shells were effective even against other tanks.

The new kit from Miniart shows again the evolution of the Ukrainian brand, offering a highly detailed model with 712 plastic parts , 117 photoetched parts and 7 clear plastic parts.

The full interior includes detailed gun breech, combat chamber, engine, transmission, fuel tanks, etc. plus several shells for the ammunition racks. The tracks are workable and made of plastic.

Finally, it is remarkable also that there are decals for 6 options, including Soviet 4BO green and winter schemes, and even a German captured vehicle.

Be sure to check their website here, with full size photos of all the sprues and test shots of built vehicle.

If that doesn't scare you, the 117 PE parts will. If you've built any MiniArt super detailed kits, you know that some of those PE parts are nanoscopic. Still, since I don't have any particular era or country I call my home modelling turf, these interior detail kits MiniArt is bringing out will probably get me to try at least one.

It really is ungainly so I hope they also release the Su-100 w full interior. I'd expect they share a common platform?

I've been waiting rather impatiently for this release since it was announced a while ago. Great to see them back in production on some very interesting armor series. PH
