New from Resicast is a kit to provide interior details for the Sherman M4A4 tank.
Sherman M4A4 Firefly Interior (351268). Released as a limited edition kit, this is a conversion set for use with the Tasca / Asuka Sherman V kit. This offering contains more than 120 parts in resin and photo-etched details. Master by Ken Switser

I had the same thought! Why oh why don't the mainstream plastic manufacturers produce these interiors either as part of new kits (like the old Bandai 1/48 armor kits of the 1970s) or as optional extra kits? I know they'd sell...

Note that Resicast sells just the gun breech as a separate kit, for much less money. I too am perplexed that Tasca never included a breech in their original kit, despite the fact that the breech and guard fills nearly half the commander's hatch. I wonder did they originally intend to do so, as the Tasca commander figure is perfectly posed to avoid the breech guard while standing in a Firefly hatch. IMHO a Firefly with open hatch and no breech just looks incomplete, especially when the breech guard was painted a surprisingly conspicuous white, as confirmed by a German newsreel film of a Firefly knocked out and on its side.
