Gecko Model has announced two new figure sets that they have in the works to add human interest to your models and dioramas. Both of these are in 1/35th scale and cover British Armed Forces.
The first new announcement covers British tank crews from prior to World War 2 and over the war in North Africa. This is a six figure set with three figures for the European theatre both before and during the early period of World War 2. The other three figures are perfect for North Africa both before and during World War 2 in that theatre.

The second figure set is the second offering from Gecko Model covering modern British infantry. This offering is a four figure set depicting troops covering while making entry into a building. This figure set is listed as covering the period from 2010 to 2016 and so the later part of the conflict in Afghanistan.

I really like the look of these; the WW2 Crew figures will look pretty good on just about anything from the appropriate era, but the black-clad ones could be posed well on, say, a Hobby Boss Vickers Medium (though I feel the helmeted figure is probably restricted to early WW2). The desert-type figures will also lend themselves easily enough to Post War in say, Centurions, Saladins, Dingoes, Ferrets for example, in Aden or anywhere else in the Persian Gulf, Cyprus, Libya and so on. And of course, if immersed within a turret, in shirt-sleeve order for just about anywhere up to 80s - thereafter the berets might need a bit of modification. The Afghan figures also look interesting but I'm not too sure just yet if I'm up to replicating MTP in 1:35! I must ensure I get some of these. Brian

Those Operation Herrick soldiers look great at least on drawing. I hope molded figures are great too.

I rate the figures I have seen from this company very highly

Both sets look great. Didn't they also announce a different modern British army figure set...or did I dream that?

Paul: you are correct an earlier set has been announced and I expect to see them soon.
