It's been said, that when you hear the pipes playing, either help or trouble is on the way

Those look good. Perfect for a Normandy dio.

As bizarre, no, nutty as many of us find the pipes, there is hundreds of years of history saying that scaring the enemy with their horrid drone is at least as effective as cold steel. After all, why did the Rebel yell make Union soldiers break and run at Chancellorsville during the American Civil War? It's not the pipes that are frightening, but the psychological pressure knowing what their sound means: death at the hands of the regulars. I'm glad for the piper because there simply isn't anything like it out there in styrene. Good for ya, Gecko!

These figures look great as do their previous 2 British sets. They are a welcome addition to an underrepresented group in ww2 plastic figs. The piper is my favourite out of the bunch. He would be great as Lord Lovats piper leading them to Pegasus Bridge after its capture by British Glider troops in the early hours before the D Day landings

A band of brothers? The faces all look the same. Regardless, the overall detail and posing is awesome.

Always nice to see more British figures. The small packs look a bit crumpled to me as the construct was fairly stout. It looks as though the side buckles at the top of the sides are missing but it's hard to tell from the pictures. Water bottles would normally be carried on the right hip but I suspect these haven't been added to every figure just yet (in the pictures that is). Slings will of course, also need to be added to the weapons. Hornet Heads will also enable a bit more individuality perhaps. I'm sure we'll now be seeing more NW European dioramas on the tables soon.

The box art is based on a famous photograph of Royal Scots Fusiliers, 15th Scottish Division, being played up to the start line on the morning of the commencement of Operation Epsom.
